Megan Walsh, MHC-LP
Megan completed her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. She has experience with a wide range of diverse populations with varying levels of mental illness. Megan has worked for over 4 years with children/adolescents impacted by autism spectrum disorder.
She also has experience with residential inpatient and school-based settings where she helped to meet the needs of individuals of all ages presenting with mild to severe psychological disorders. This includes; Autism Spectrum Disorder, Trauma, Behavioral Issues, Self-Harm, Depression, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, individuals navigating the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals experiencing difficulties with life transitions. Megan is easygoing and strives to create a client-lead, comfortable, and empowering working relationship. She uses an eclectic lens of therapeutic approaches which consists of Cognitive Behavioral, Trauma-Informed Care, Psychodynamic, and Play-Therapy principles. She enjoys integrating mindfulness and the mind-body connection through various individualized coping mechanisms and looks forward to working alongside any individual to overcome life’s challenges.
