Clinical Internship Program
LIBH is partnering with universities that offer Master’s in mental health programs in order to provide more access to services by providing lost-cost therapy. These services are offered at a reduced rate but they are not covered by health insurance, in or out of network. Benefits of working with these Master level interns include:

Alexandra is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Adelphi University. She has experience working with children and adolescents, including those with special needs, which has deepened her commitment to fostering emotional well-being in young clients. Adopting an eclectic approach to therapy, she draws from various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Her therapeutic philosophy emphasizes a client-centered approach, ensuring that each individual’s unique needs and experiences shape the therapeutic process. Alexandra is excited to explore the integration of therapy animals into her practice, believing that this innovative method can enhance the therapeutic experience. She is enthusiastic about contributing to a supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies for life’s challenges.
