Monique is a New York State Licensed Social Worker who first obtained her undergraduate degree from Adelphi University and later earned her Master’s degree from Stony Brook University. Throughout her career, she has gained experience working with various populations such as children, adolescents, and families. In particular, Monique has experience in working with individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Coping with Trauma, Life Transitions, and Stress management.
Monique is bilingual, she speaks fluent Spanish. She believes in taking a Strengths-Based and Person-Centered Approach to Therapy. Clinical sessions are tailored to your individual needs utilizing evidence-based practice models. Some of these Evidence-based treatment models include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing.
